Åke Ericson

Åke Ericson, born in Västerås, Sweden. He had his first picture published when he 14 years old and started working as a photographer at the age of 16. After 12 years at various local newspapers in Sweden, he worked at Scandinavia’s largest newspaper, Aftonbladet, where he worked for 10 years. Since 2000 he has been working as a freelance photojournalist. He has been working and travelling in many countries such as Russia, The Balkans, the Czech Republic, France, Slovakia and especially in the Kosovo region. He is affiliated with Aurora Photos in New York and his photography has been published in Time, CNN, The New Yorker, Paris Match, Le Figaro, Stern, Telerama, Le´Obs and Le Monde.
